Hugh Camp

SHELBY- Mr. Robert Hugh Camp, 63, of 2635 Taylor Rd., died Fri., July 22, 2011 at his home. A native of Cleveland Co. he was the son of the late Boyd and Laura Spake Camp. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and retired as a truck driver.


PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Anita Marie Camp; and eight brothers and sisters.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn Ivey Camp of the home; son, Dwayne “Pete” Camp of the home; two sisters, Raye Clark and husband Aubrey of Shelby, Rachel Jolley and husband William of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Jack Camp of Shelby, John Camp and wife Earleen of Kings Mountain; brother-in-law, James Carlos Ivey of Shelby; and many nieces and nephews survive.


SERVICES: 3pm Monday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: One hour prior to the service, at the funeral home, and other times at his home.
