Iris Emery

SHELBY – Mrs. Iris Hamrick Emery, 85, of 1506 S. Morgan St., died Fri., Feb. 1, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late James and Odessa McGinnis Riddle. She was a faithful member of Christopher Road Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Hamrick; and sisters, Sara Carr and Billie Herndon.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Craig Hamrick of the home; two daughters, Janice “Jan” Hamrick Walker of Hickory and Benita Runyans of Earl; sister , Betty Allen Stubbs of Shelby; granddaughter, Amanda Clucas of Gaffney; three great-grandchildren, Aubreanna, Luke, and Katilyn Clucas; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

SERVICES: Sunday, 3pm, at Christopher Road Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, 1:30-3pm, at the church, and other times at her home.
