BOILING SPRINGS- Iris Beam Rose, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Esther Allen Beam. Iris was a faithful member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She retired as a HR Manager with Crawley Memorial Hospital, worked as the switchboard operator for more than 25 years, at the Cleveland County Fair, and organized the Christmas Parade in Boiling Springs for many years.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joe Rose; daughter, Nancy Rose; and sister, Diana Wright
SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Joe Rose Jr., and wife DeeDee of Mooresboro; daughter, Anne Bolick and husband Rick of Olive Branch, Miss.; sisters, Gail Humphries and husband Dwight, Mary Leigh, all of Shelby, Eloise Evans and husband Steve of Asheville; brother, Wayne Beam and wife Iris of Shelby; grandchildren, Magan Bolick, Brittany Bolick, Heather Finley, and husband Jeff, and Tyler Rose; and great-grandchildren, Payton and Kipp Finley.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6-7:30pm, Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 3pm, Wednesday, at Westwood Heights Baptist Church
OFFICIATING: Rev. David Costner will officiate
BURIAL: will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
