BESSEMER CITY: Jackie Childers McDonald, 62, died Friday, August 5, 2022 at her home. Born in Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Jackie and Theresa Moody Hughes. She is survived by her lifetime partner, Dennis Hoyle, of the home; son, William McDonald of Mt. Holly; and daughter, Tammy Shehow-Melton of Dalzell, SC. Funeral services will be private to the family.
