Jacob Thomas Jones

SHELBY- On December 21, 2024 our world became dimmer as we lost our beloved Jacob. He passed away peacefully in his sleep holding his Sam bear. Jacob is survived by his parents, Tammy and Peter Newbery, his siblings Nick (Kelly) Jones, Andrea (Jorge) Diaz, and Rachel (Ward) Gibson. He is also survived by his nieces, Natalie, Riley, Kaitlyn, Harper, Averie, and his nephew Miles, as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is proceeded in death by his brother, Brad, and grandparents.
To know Jacob was to to love him. He always made your day better with his jokes, tricks, smile, and laughter. He loved singing along to country music, listening to live bands, and watching his shows. He liked playing on his Nintendo and playing card games with his family. He was always hugging his momma and couldn’t wait for Santa to come. Christmas season was his favorite time of year. He said “Santa won’t forget me” about forty times a day and made sure we all had our egg nog and cookies for Christmas Eve.
We find comfort in knowing he is pain free and having fun up in Heaven with Brad. We are still working on plans for a celebration of life and will share once finalized.
