James Mcmurry

SHELBY: James Lee McMurry, 55, died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of James Edwin and Lois Horne McMurry of Shelby. He was preceded in death by son, BJ Shepherd; grandparents, Sid & Lee McMurry, Aunt Dorothy Cause, Aunt Robbie Canipe, Aunt Nancy Patterson and husband, Uncle Gary, and Aunt Vivian. James is survived by his loving partner in life for 15 wonderful years, Gina Grigg; daughter, Ashley and Jeff McWhirter; sons, James (Dillon) McMurry and Zack Rabb; two grandsons, Aiden and Colson McWhirter, whom he loved with all his heart; two sisters Dawn Moore and Dana Bradshaw & husband; three nieces; three nephews; and many other countless friends and family who will forever miss his presence. A private service will be held on the family farm.
