SHELBY- Mr. James Arnold “Jimmy” Steadham, Jr., 44, of 5001 Westgate Drive, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Clarendon Memorial Hospital. A native of Onslow County, he was a son of the late Faye Button Steadham and James “Jim” Steadham of Florida. He was a foreman with Sanders Construction for more than 20 years and was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheree David.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife, Debbie Gilliam Steadham of the home; a son, Chris Steadham and wife, Tiffany, of Shelby; two daughters, Cassie Steadham and Maddie Steadham, both of the home; two sisters, Angela McClintock and Yvonne Westphalen, both of Shelby; a brother, Kenny Decorte, of Louisiana; and a grandson, Caden Fortenberry of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby, and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL SERVICE: The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
INTERMENT: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery
OFFICIATING CLERGY: Chaplain Carroll Hutcheson and The Rev. David Costner will officiate.
