James "Sonny" Wilson

SHELBY- Mr. James “Sonny” Wilson, 70, of 1332 New House Rd., died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Spartanburg Co., SC he was the son of the late Robert and Margaret Wilson Howell. Mr. Wilson was Southern Baptist and worked at Fatz Café for many years, as kitchen manager, where he was known as “Pop.”

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Howell and two sisters.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his nephew James Stillwell and wife Tracey; two brothers Doug and James Howell, both of Gaffney; 8 grandchildren, Nicholas Stillwell, Brandon Stillwell, Aleshia Stillwell, Amber Stillwell, Haley and Darrien Tessneer, Bradley Baynard, and Aaron Foster; one great grandchild, Aiden Campbell; and sister-in-law Patty Howell of Boiling Springs.
SERVICES: Services will be held, Thursday, September 16, 2010, 11am, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

CLERGY: Dr. Tim Sims will be officiating.
