SHELBY- Mrs. Janelle Margaret Johnson, 78, of 312 North Morgan Street, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Mattie Caroline Howard.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Johnson.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her three sons Dean Watkins of Shelby, Jerry Watkins of China Grove, and Mark Watkins and wife Robin of Summerville, SC; a daughter Rhonda Watkins of Charlotte; a brother Bud Howard and wife Hazel of Forest City; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 13, from 1:30-3:00 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
SERVICE: Services will be held, Wednesday, May 13, at 3:00pm in the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.
CLERGY: Dr. Jerry Lail will be officiating
