Janice Miller Strange

SHELBY- Janice Miller Strange, 72, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her residence. A native of Mitchell co., she was born to the late Howard and Melba Young Miller. She loved her fur babies and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved working in her yard and visiting her hometown of Spruce Pines.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother George Allen Miller.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter Susan Bell and husband Kerry of Grover; sons, Jeffery “Jeff” Greene of Lawndale and Charles “Charlie” Greene of Shelby; sisters, Joyce Stamey of Shelby, JoAnn Frye of Hickory, Judy Hughes of Spruce Pines and Janette Letterman of Earl; brother Guy Miller of Spruce Pine; grandchildren, Aaron Greene, Wesley Bell, Mikeala Bell, Makenzie Greene, Lucas VanDyke, and Ava Pearl Greene; step grandchildren, Chloe and Riley Ingle; great grandchildren, Adelyn Grace, Mason Dean and Karsyn Nicole; and her beloved pets including four cats, five dogs and her African Grey Parrot.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Clearview Baptist Church in Grover.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends after the service.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Barry Miles, officiating

BURIAL: A private burial will be held later.

MEMORIALS: may be made to Clay-Barnette Funeral home 1401 W. Dixon Blvd. Shelby, NC 28152 to help with burial expenses
