Jeanette Turner

January 7, 1925 — July 29, 2013

EARL- Mrs. Jeanette Turner, 88, of 2235 South Post Road, passed away Monday July 29, 2013 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Cherokee County, SC she was born January 7, 1925, daughter of the late John and Fannie Bell Mullinax. She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Shelby and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Bill” Turner; six
brothers and five sisters.

SURVIVED: She is survived by five daughters; Brenda Owens and husband Mike, Kathryn Owens and husband Roger, Patricia Cook and husband Floyd all of Earl, Linda McClain and husband John of Blacksburg, and Jan McElroy of Jacksonville, FL; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Faith Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 pm Wednesday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.

CLERGY: Her grandson; Rev. Johnny Owens will be officiating the service along with Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Billy Boone.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
