Jerdon "Jerry" Lester

SHELBY- Mr. Jerry Lester, 62, of 618 Leander St., died Fri., Mar. 11th, 2011 at his home. A native of Wyoming, WV, he was the son of the late Lenford and Ada Mae Thomas Lester. Jerry served two tours in the Marines during Vietnam and retired from CSX Railroad. He enjoyed golfing, deer hunting and loved to watch his grandchildren grow.


PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister Ruth Jane Gray.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Mary Bretz Lester of the home; three sons Jack Lester and fiancé Tina of Shelby, Tony Lester and wife Billie of Columbia, and Jim Lester of Shelby; one sister Nora Webb and husband Darrell of Grove City, Oh; 10 grandchildren; and many special friends survive.


SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 1:30pm Wednesday at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Kings Mountain


VISITATION: The family will receive friends 12:00 to 1:30pm prior to the service at the church
