Jerry Roger Hamrick

SHELBY: Jerry Roger Hamrick, 74, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Atrium Health-CMC. He was the son of the late Paul & Doris Jones Hamrick of Shelby. He was a member of Bethel Baptist and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Lanny Hamrick and sister, Loretta Allen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Adams Hamrick, of the home; daughters Sandra Brittain and husband Brad of Lawndale and Carla Canipe and husband Jeff of Cherryville; grandchildren, Jennifer Brittain, Jason Brittain and fiancé Ashley and Hunter Canipe; great grandchild Brylan Brittain; brother Sherrill Hamrick; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, with Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends 1:30-3pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 606 S.
