Jerry Hamrick

SHELBY: Jerry Hamrick,77, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A Cleveland County native and the son of the late Clyde and Winifred Hamrick. Jerry was a faithful man of God who attended Patterson Springs Baptist Church, loved Shelby High School football, and spending time with his family. He was known for being a very entertaining man who loved to make people laugh and he kept that trait till the very end. Jerry also enjoyed playing golf, going to Myrtle Beach and watching westerns especially Gunsmoke. His contagious smile and laughter will be missed by so many that loved him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Hamrick. Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joy Hamrick; son, Josh Hamrick and wife Jolaine of Charlotte; daughters, Jill Martin and husband Tom of Boiling Springs and Jaime Kollock and husband Kevin of Boiling Springs; and grandchildren, Chris, Patrick, Kelvin, Julia, Kevin, Claire, Jamerson, Chase, Karis, and Rosie. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday October 19,2024 at Patterson Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Waters officiating with visitation to follow the service.
