SHELBY-Mr. Jerry “Bob” Brittain, 69, of 201 Carmel Dr., died Friday, October 08, 2010, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late James and Ann Perry Brittain. Mr. Brittain was a truck driver for over 30 years and was a member of Redeemed Pentecostal Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Mack and Dave Brittain.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Alice Brittain, of the home; two sons Mark Brittain and wife Jeannie and Mike Brittain, all of Shelby; three daughters Lisa Brittain Powell of Cherryville, Angie Stockton and husband Tommy of Lattimore, and Tracy Weaver and husband Robbie of Shelby; three sisters Larue Boston of Cherryville, Fonda Rulapaugh and husband Dave of Simpsonville, Sc, and Monte Leonhardt of Dallas; four brothers Paul Brittain of NJ, Jake Brittain of Cherryville, Randy Brittain and wife Betty of Cherryville, and Joey Brittain and wife Fonda of Waco; and 9 grandchildren.
SERVICES: Sunday, 2pm, Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Saturday, 6-7:30, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
