SHELBY- Mr. J.B. Wright Jr., 94, of 721 Live Oak St., died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Asheville. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Jesse and Alice Philbeck Burton Wright Sr. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and an Army veteran.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Bertha Moss Wright, granddaughter Kay Stamey; three brothers Zay, Bill, and Ben Wright; and four sister Lala Bailey, Myrtle Wright, Gassie Kale, and Mattie Ivey.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his son Steve Wright and wife Wanda of Boiling Springs; daughter Diana Putnam; sister Gussie Sue Morrison; brother Tom Wright and wife Frances all of Shelby; two grandchildren Bobby Putnam of Shelby, and Ericka Meyer and husband Jeremy of Boiling Springs; three great grandchildren Matthew Stamey and wife Jesse of Shelby and Kayla Heddins and Landon Meyer of Boiling Springs; and one great great granddaughter Emma Stamey.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Tuesday, July 6, 10-11am, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
SERVICES: Services will be held, Tuesday, July 6, 11am, in the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will be private at Cleveland Memorial Park.

CLERGY: Dr. Reginald Dawkins will be officiating.
