Jessie Mozelle Darnell

SHELBY- Mrs. Jessie Mozelle Darnell, 84, of 1550 Charles Road, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Carillon Assisted Living. A native of Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Maude Smith Bost. Mrs. Darnell was the owner and operator of Darnell’s Pottery and Craft for over 30 years. She was also a member of Royster Avenue Church of God.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, B.F. Darnell Jr.; and three brothers John, Frank, and Ray Bost.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her two sons Ted Darnell and wife Peggy of Kings Mountain, and Joe Darnell and wife Sandy of Shelby; a brother Douglas Bost and wife Doris of Inman, SC; a sister Helen Hardin of Shelby; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Friday, October 23, from 1:30-3pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held, Friday, October 23, 3pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT:. Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

CLERGY: Rev. Richard Shores will be officiating
