Joan Guin

SHELBY: Joan Simpson Guin, 58, died Friday, October 14, 2022 her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter the late Ralph and Katherine Hicks Simpson. She was active with Bikers with Boxes, toy runs and giving back to the community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Simpson. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Drake Guin; step-daughter, Angel Pennington of Waco; sister, Serita Simpson of Cherryville; granddaughter, Makala Nivens; great-granddaughter, Morticia Aldridge; and special nephew, Travis Simpson. A service of remembrance will be held 6:00pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Royal Praise Ministries in Kings Mountain, with Bishop Brady Jackson and Johnny Norris Jr. officiating.
