Joan Putnam

LAKE LURE-Joan Biggers Putnam, 78, died Tuesday, November 30,2021 at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late J.L. Biggers Sr. and Margaret Elliott.
Joan was a florist and owner of Joan’s florist that later became Sunshine flowers and gifts in Patterson Springs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Sudie Randall and Jim Elliot; previous husbands, Mike Lattimore and Jerry Putnam; and 30-year life partner, Charles Willis.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Deanya Lattimore and Martin Schempp of Wildberg, Germany, and Shellie and Kevin Dorsey of Lake Lure, NC; the wives and families of deceased brothers J.L. Biggers Jr. and Jimmie Biggers; beloved cousins Linda and Kerry Elliot-Rudasill; Michael and Alice Ann Elliot; Ludy Wilkie, and their families.
