Joann Cabaniss

SHELBY- JoAnn Camp Cabaniss, 81, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, GA. Born July 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joe Pinkney and Ethel Ross Camp. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church, and worked many years as a real estate broker throughout Cleveland County.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, MD “Mousey” Cabaniss; son, Rev. Tony Cabaniss; brother, Dwight Camp; and sister, Lib Davis

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two daughters, Kim Fitts and husband Jim of Gainesville, GA, and Jan Jenks and husband Dean of Shelby; sisters, Helen Kirkland of Columbia, SC, Janice Ledford of Shelby, and Jean Kapoor and husband Sunil of Winston Salem; brother, Gerald Camp and wife Patsy of Gaffney; grandchildren, MaryAnn Fitts Barnette and husband Patrick of Gainesville, GA, Russ Fitts and wife Sarah of Concord, Jana Jenks-Bradley and husband Matthew of Boiling Springs, Jessalyn Jenks Marcela and husband Rigney of Cornelius; and great-granddaughter, Stella Chase Barnette of Gainesville, GA.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services to celebrate JoAnn’s life will be held 3pm, Friday, May 4, 2018, at Zion Baptist Church.

OFFICIATING: Dr. Danny West, Dr. Matthew Storey

BURIAL: A private burial will be held in the church cemetery, prior to the service.

FUNERAL HOME: Arrangements are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral, Cremation & Pet Aquamation Center
