Joanna Guthrie

SHELBY- Mrs. Joanna Magee Guthrie, 44, of 117 Metcalf Road, died Monday, May 18, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Jo Anne Bumgardner Magee of Shelby, and the late Jerry Magee. She was a member of Hoyle United Methodist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister Susan Guffey.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Robert Nelson Guthrie; two sons Robert Justin Guthrie and wife Brittany Nicole Guthrie and Jeremy L. Guthrie, all of the home; two step daughters Karen Guthrie Kidd of Charlotte and Tiffany Guthrie of Statesville; two brothers Mike Magee of Shelby, and Pat Magee and wife Teresa of Georgia; and seven step grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 20, 2009, from 11:30-1pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home of her mother, Jo Anne Magee, 104 Wedgewood St., Shelby.

SERVICE: Services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009, 1:00pm in the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

CLERGY: Dr. J.M. Ezell will be officiating
