GROVER: Jonathan “Jon” Lane Cobb, 28, died Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Rodney and Misty Putnam Cobb of Shelby. Jon loved his wife and family dearly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and celebrating Fourth of July and Halloween. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Carla Cobb, Clyde and Shirley Putnam and Warren Terry; grandfather-in-law, Turner Jones; and uncle, Christopher Cobb. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Tiffany Jones Cobb of the home; sisters, Brandy “Sissy” Vess and husband Dylan and Keesha Putnam; mother and father-in-law, Diane Spangler and Shea Jones; grandparents, Westley and Kim Cobb, Joanne Terry and Trudy Jones; sisters-in-law, Nichole Mayes and husband Jason Abdalla and Amanda Baliles and wife Brooke; brother-in-law, Dillon Jones and wife Kayley; nieces and nephews, Mason and Sadie Vess, Aubree, Dallas and Emmett Jones, Gage Johnson, Camden, Jaylan and Aribelle Abdalla; and his beloved fur babies The family will receive friends 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. A time for remembrance and sharing will follow at 2:00 PM.
Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center.
