Joseph Tesseneer Sr.

KINGS MOUNTAIN – Mr. Joseph William Tesseneer Sr., 84, of 405 N. Cansler St., died Friday, July 2, 2010 at VA Medical Center, Asheville. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Griffton and Florence Mae Pearson Tesseneer. He served in the Navy, and was a life member of AMVETS, DAV, and the Moose Lodge.

PRECEDED - In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin and Alonzo Tesseneer; and sisters, Cara Murray and Arthie Lane.

SURVIVED – He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Geraldine Davis Tesseneer of the home; three sons, Joseph William Tesseneer Jr. and wife Judy, Michael Tesseneer and wife Sherry, all of Kings Mountain, and Charles Tesseneer of Taylorsville; two daughters, Kathy Ann Stewart and husband, John of Cayce, SC, and Sandra Lane Bolin and husband, Robert of Kings Mountain; three half sisters, Mary Elizabeth and husband Earl, of Swansboro, Sudie and Drucilla of Statesville; one brother, Francis Tesseneeer and wife, Barbara of Conyers, GA; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

FUNERAL – 3 pm Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain

VISITATION – The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, July 5, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain, and other times at the home.
