Juanita Kendrick

SHELBY- Mrs. Juanita Glance Kendrick, 90, of 1700 Caleb Road, died July 22, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Marion Glance and Itasca Davis Glance. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated nurse serving most of her time in Aiken SC. She was the last surviving member of her family of origin.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent Glance and John Wendell Glance; three sisters, Mabel Glance, Mahala Glance, and Leona Carr.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Edwin Kendrick of the home; two sons, Ronnie Kendrick and wife Vicki of Lillington, NC, Gary Kendrick and wife Betty of Brevard, NC; three grandchildren, Kristian Wolfe and husband Chris, Erin Johnson and husband John Michael, and Shawn Kendrick; several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Services will be held, 3:30pm, Sunday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, Saturday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at her home.

CLERGY: Rev. Todd Bolin will be officiating.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
