SHELBY- Mrs. Judy L. Morris, 67, of 1003 Hardin Dr., died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at her daughter’s home. A native of Fentress County, TN, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Dora Maxwell Gooding. She retired from Grover Industries and was of the Pentecostal faith.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil “Pappy” Morris; four infant brothers and sisters, and a brother, Jerry Gooding.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Morris Fitch and husband, Bobby, of Shelby and Leanne Morris Brackett and husband, Steve, of Belwood; a sister, Joyce Worsham and husband, Ron, of TN; a brother, Jim Gooding and wife, Joyce, of Ohio; five grandchildren, Jonathan Martin and wife, Randy, Randy Eubanks, and Lee Eubanks, all of Belwood, and Rickie “Sissy” Martin and Steven Brackett, both of Shelby; three great grandchildren, Kendal Martin, Rylee Martin and Ethan Martin, all of Shelby; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice Cleveland County and Home Health for their care.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Lisa and Bobby Fitch, 735 W. Marion St., Shelby.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Northside Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in House of Prayer Church Cemetery.
