SHELBY- Mrs. Julia Huffstetler Rippy, 74, of 5018 Pecan Drive, died January 8, 2009 at home. A native of Cherokee County, she is a daughter of the late William Delbert and Ethel Lee Henson Huffstetler. She retired from Hoechst Celanese Corporation after 30 years.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by a daughter Carol Schendell of Charlotte; four brothers; four sisters; and a special friends and neighbor Linda Cabaniss of Shelby.
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Rd., Suite 200, Charlotte, 28210
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour before the service
FUNERAL: Services will be held, Sunday, January 11, in the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm.
INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
