Julia P. Pruett

SHELBY- Mrs. Julia Evelyn Pruett, 83, of 1543 Spangler Dr., died Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Amy Margaret Blanton Sentell. She retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Simon Peter Pruett and Homer Wall; two brothers, Grover and Marvin Sentell; and three sisters, Lydia Young, Stella Sentell and Liz Perrine.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by three sons, James Pruett, of Vale, Tommy Pruett and wife, Judy, of Shelby, and Larry Pruett and wife, Pam, of Charlotte; a sister, Margaret Gordon of Gaffney, SC; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Pruett of Florida, Stacey Davis and husband, Alan, of Vale, Rodney Pruett and wife, Sabrina, of Barnardsville, Thomas Pruett, Ryan Pruett and wife, Jennifer, all of Cherryville, Lauren Pruett, John Pruett and Joseph Pruett, all of Charlotte; and 6 great grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 12:30-2 pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 2 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park
