Julie Owle

EARL: Julie Allen Owle, 78, died Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Lula Drewery Allen. Julie worked as a school teacher in Cherokee. She enjoyed taking pictures, cooking and her family was most important to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Mike” Owle; seven brothers and sisters; and granddaughter, Chantel Ross. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Ross and husband Scott of Earl; sons, Shane Owle and wife Jill of Bryson City and Eric “Neil” Owle and wife Nicky of Williamsburg, VA; sister, Maudine Evans of Polkville; grandchildren, Justin Ross and wife Alicia, Mikayla Smiley and husband Aaron, Kimber Owle, Bradley Owle, Austin Owle and Ethan Owle. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 1pm, Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Birdtown Cemetery in Cherokee.
