Kathleen Buff

SHELBY- Mrs. Kathleen Mellon Buff, 74, of 211 North Morgan Street, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008. A native of Cleveland County, she is a daughter of the late James Eddie and Elizabeth Texas Trammel Mellon. She attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Buff was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, and had a very uplifting positive outlook on life.

PRECEDED IN DEATH- In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband J.D. Buff; son Bobby Dean Buff; brother Frank Mellon ; and two sisters Betty Jo Causby, and Pearl Brittain.

SURVIVORS- She is survived by four sons Dennis Buff and wife Gail of Shelby, Billy Gene Buff of Crouse, Gary Buff and fiancé Libby Campbell of Grover, and Roger Buff and wife Lynn of Cherryville; three brothers Flay Mellon and wife Mae of Cherryville, Earl Mellon and wife Betty of Kings Mountain, and David Mellon and wife Brenda of Shelby; three sisters Joan Stewart of Andrews, Gail Pearson and husband Troy of Shelby, and Louise Wilkie and husband James of Grover; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.


VISITATION- Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 6-7:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

FUNERAL- Services will be held Friday, November 14, 2:00PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT-Burial will immediately follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery

CLERGY- Rev. Dan Wallace will be officiating
