Kathy Champion

GROVER: Kathy Damewood Champion, 66, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Hospice at Wendover. Kathy worked at Cheyenne Manufacturing. She enjoyed going to church, attending the flea market and sitting on her front porch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Champion; and a brother. She is survived by her daughter, Hattie Damewood of Shelby; three grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Peggy Vess of Grover, Sally Thomas of Hickory and Rosemary Lancaster of Rutherford County; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2024 at The Salvation Army Church. Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and Aquamation Center.
