Kathy Towery

GROVER: Kathleen “Kathy” Smith Towery, 50, died Sunday, July 14, 2024 at her home. Born in Kankakee County, IL, she was the daughter of the late James and Ethelann Estermyer Smith. Kathy had a love for crafting and her family. She enjoyed cruising, tending to her cats, spending time with friends and sharing her great sense of humor. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, James Towery of the home; daughter, Victoria Smith and boyfriend Gabriel Addington of Shelby; sons, Andrew Towery, Brandon Towery and Camryn Towery, all of Grover; brother, Tim Smith and wife Lee Ann of TN; grandchildren, Hayden and Asher Addington; and many other extended family members. The family will receive friends 2:00-3:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 P.M., in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Paul Brintley Sr. officiating.
