Ken Jones

CASAR: Raymon “Ken” Jones Jr., 82, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Raymon Kendall Jones Sr. and Frances Cabaniss Jones. Ken served in the Army, retired from Bell South and later worked and retired from Cleveland County Schools. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir, served as a deacon, taught Sunday school, was active with the senior and youth groups, and served as a committee chair. He was a Mason and former member of the Optimist Club and Cleveland County Choral Society. He enjoyed traveling with his wife. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Hamrick Jones; and sister, Jo Carol Bowles. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Pat Mullen Jones, of the home; daughters, Jill Triplett and husband Chris and Julie Rabb and husband Chris, both of Lattimore; step-daughter, Shannon Blanton and husband Ernie of Casar; brother, Robert Jones and wife Laura of Ellenboro; grandchildren, Nicolas Triplett and wife Heather, Emily Botts and husband Michael, Thomas Rabb, Kendall Rabb, Jeremy and Morgan Blanton; and great grandchild, Henry Michael Botts. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. J. Eric Davis, Rev. Andy Oliver and Rev. Ernie Blanton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service, in the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County or Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
