SHELBY- Kenneth Borders, 80, passed Friday, April 13, 2018 at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of George and Ruth Arrowood Borders. He drove a truck for Bost Bakery for many years, later transporting mobile homes. He attended New Buffalo Baptist Church, and enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, and taking trips to the mountains.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Doyle Borders.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Teresa Tessiner Borders, of the home; son, Keith Borders and wife Janis of Shelby; step-son, Greg Lail and wife Dana of Forest City; sisters, Linda Warren and Nancy Beaver and husband Jerry, all of Shelby; brothers, Jack Borders and wife Hilda and Ricky Borders and wife Lisa, all of Shelby; grandchildren, James Borders, Brad Lail, and Isaac Lail; sisters-in-law, Linda Borders of Shelby, Carolyn Allwood of Hickory and Dessie Cox of Lawndale; and brother-in-law, James Tessiner of Casar.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Monday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
OFFICIATING: Pastor Adam Green will officiate
