Kenneth Mcswain

SHELBY: Kenneth “Motor” McSwain, 71, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Gladys Morrison McSwain of Shelby, and the late Wilbur McSwain. He retired from NCDOT, and was a member of Blessed Way Baptist Church. He served in the Army Reserves.

PRECEDED: In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia McSwain; and sister, Kay McSwain.

SURVIVED: In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Regina Hughes and husband Thomas of Vale; son, Todd McSwain of Shelby; sister, Kathryn Sarratt of Shelby; brother, Keith McSwain and wife Mary of Shelby; six grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
