Kevin Blanton

SHELBY-Kevin Wayne Blanton, 43, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Robert Wayne Blanton of Shelby, and the late Susie Kale Blanton. He worked for Fiber until his health forced his retirement. Kevin loved all sports, and supporting his sons in their activities.

PRECEDED: In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Susie Blanton

SURVIVED: In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons, Korey and Hunter Blanton, both of Shelby; former wife and friend, Brandie Blanton of Mooresboro; aunt, Linda Phillips; and uncle, Tommy Blanton, both of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6-7pm, Monday, April 2, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. A time to sharing and reflecting will follow at 7pm.
