Kim Ford

SHELBY: Kim Lavender Ford, 61, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter Brenda Davis Lavender of Shelby and the late Rev. Dean Lavender. Kim was full of life, a lady who loved her God, church, family and shopping. She worked as a substitute teacher with Cleveland County Schools and loved decorating. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Angela Denise and Michelle Diane Lavender. In addition to her mothers,she is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Kevin Ford of the home; son, Josh Ford and wife Krista; daughter, Haley Ford Owens and husband Derek both of Shelby; and grandchildren, Cohen and Emma Ford. Funeral services for Kim will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplin Tom Hardis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
