SHELBY- Mr. Lanny Scott Hamrick, 57, of 1705 Kings Road, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at home. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son to the late Paul and Doris Jones Hamrick Byers. Mr. Hamrick was retired after 35 years with Invista.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special friend, Kathie Jenkins..
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his son, Jeff Hamrick of Shelby; two daughters, Lacie Hoyle and her husband Rodney of Lawndale, and Paula Hamrick of Grover; two brothers, Jerry Roger Hamrick and his wife Mary , and Sherrill Dean Hamrick and his wife Linda, all of Shelby; a sister, Loretta H. Allen and her husband Eugene of Shelby; three grandchildren, Lexie Hamrick and Landon and Larrissa Hoyle; his former wife, Christine Hamrick of Shelby; and a special friend, Cathy Cobb of Shelby..
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00pm Saturday (9/27), in the Clay-Barnette Chapel.
