SHELBY – Mr. Larry Jacob Costner, 74, of 2915 Highland Circle, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mildred Newton Costner. He retired after 37 years at Fiber Industries as a Water Treatment Tech. Larry was known as the “Watchman” to many, as he repaired watches for people all over the region. He was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lindia Brown Costner of the home; son, Rev. David Costner and wife Angie of Boiling Springs; sister, Charlotte Ann Brown of Cherryville; brother-in-law, John Earl Brown of Cherryville; grandson, Jonathan Costner of Boiling Springs; niece, Robin Brown of Shelby; and great-niece, Madison Braddy of Asheville.
SERVICES: Thursday, 2PM, at Westwood Heights Baptist Church
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Thursday, 12:30-2PM, at the church, and other times at his home.
