Laura Allen

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mrs. Laura Patrick Allen, 80, went to be with the Lord, Sat., May 19, 2012 at Peak Resources of Cherryville. A native of Cleveland Co. she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marie Oliver Patrick. She loved to travel and sing in “The Allen Family Gospel Group”. She had a love for butterflies.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Aileen Duncan; and brothers, Charlie and Delbert Patrick.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Rev. Arthur Allen; son, Kenneth Allen of Cherryville; daughter, Delores Davis and husband Randy of Kings Mountain; adopted daughter, Mary Lester of Shelby; three grandchildren, Lori Ann Walker, Carter Davis, both of Kings Mountain, Shane Davis of Shelby; six great grandchildren, Kayla Morrison, Shianne, Jessica, Shane, and Harley Walker, Damion McDaniel.


SERVICES: Tuesday, 3pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

CLERGY: Rev. Ronnie Hawkins

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery
