ASHEVILLE- Mr. Leonard Everette Blanton, 69, of Asheville, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Charles George VA Community Living Center in Asheville. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of Catherine Ledwell Blanton of Shelby and the late Colin Blanton. He owned and operated a campground in Cortez, Colorado and was a veteran.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Blaine Odell Blanton.
FUNERAL: A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Sunset Cemetery.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: The Rev. Tony Tench
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Blaine Odell Blanton.
