June 27, 1963 — December 22, 2020

SHELBY: Lillian Collins Howell, 57, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Margaret Sisk Collins. Lillian loved to crotchet, was a lady of God, and a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. She enjoyed sending out daily bible verses, and babysitting her new grandson “affectionately referred to as her little monkey.” She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Frank Howell, of the home; son, David Wayne Howell of Shelby; daughter, Kristie Howell Lovelace and husband Matthew of Patterson Springs; sisters, Carol Champion of Shelby, Frances Collins of Campobello, SC and Vicky Leidy and husband John of Rutherfordton; grandson, Milo Isaiah Lovelace; grandpa, Buddy Collins of Kings Mountain; special friends, George Tessener, Bell Donaldson and Nancy Moss; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 1pm, Monday, December 28, 2020 at Sunrise Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, with the Rev. Dennis Harmon officiating. Visitation will be held 11:30-1pm, prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
