Lillian Faye Thomas

GROVER: Lillian Faye Thomas, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland. Born in Haw River, NC on December 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Arvid Lee Sorrell and Mary Abernathy Sorrell. Lillian attended Christ The King Church in Shelby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bud Thomas. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Borders and husband Ricky of Shelby and Sharon Avery of Grover; grandchildren, Tonya Border Swanson and husband Breck of MN and Crystal Borders Garmon and husband Justin of Troutman; and great grandchildren, Riley Dean Ledbetter, and Cheyanne, Savannah, Ty and Gunner Garmon. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
