Lillie Lee

October 24, 1920 — January 18, 2009

Mrs. Lillie Mae Willis Lee, 88, went to be with her Lord and heavenly family on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Edny Willis and Mary Elizabeth Wright Willis. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Kings Mountain. Mrs. Lee was a graduate of both Belwood High School and Brevard College. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker, church and cafeteria worker, as well as a traveler with The Cookies.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thad Lee; son, Bryan Lee; brothers, Carl, Wilson, Lee and Paul Willis; and sister, Mary Agnes Lattimore.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Allen Dixon of Kings Mountain; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Doris, of Apopka, Fla; daughter-in-law, Jan McAllister, of Boiling Springs, SC; brother, Dickson Willis of West Virginia; grandchildren, Kim Dixon Wease and husband, Tommy, of Shelby, Kevin Dixon of Durham ,Christy Dixon of Chapel Hill, Gina Lee of Boiling Springs, SC and Chris Lee of Apopka, Fla; and great-grandsons, Brett and Brady Wease, both of Shelby.

VISITATION: the family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Palm Tree United Methodist Church sanctuary in Lawndale and at other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, 117 Phifer Circle in Kings Mountain

FUNERAL: The funeral will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

CLERGY: The Rev. Tony Dowdy will be officiating.
