Lillie Ruff

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Lillie Mae Childers Ruff, 67, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. A native of Cherokee Co., SC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Scruggs Childers. She was a member of In Christ Ministry of Bessemer City, and a former member of Assembly of Faith of Dallas, NC. She was a great prayer warrior in the Kingdom of God and loved reading her Bible.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Jerry Ruff; brothers, Wayne Childers and Frankie “Dick” Childers.; and son-in-law, William Sheppard.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Eddie Jerry Ruff and partner Justin Clark, and Thomas Lee Ruff and Yvonne Sifers, all of Kings Mountain; daughter, Kim Sheppard of Shelby; two brother, Bill Childers and wife Gail of Cartersville, GA, Charles Childers and wife Linda of Pinehurst, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICES: Will be held Thursday, 6p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-8p.m. at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Thomas Ruff, 26 Bennett Dr., Kings Mountain.
