Linda Atkins

SHELBY: Linda Wheat Atkins, 78, died Monday, August 15, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland. Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Julia Wright Wheat. Linda worked in textiles and loved her friends, family and working with flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger, Ronnie, Mike and Ken Wheat. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Johnny Atkins of the home; sons, Richard Hall of Gaffney and John Hall of Boiling Springs; daughter, Lisa Meeks of Gaffney; grandchildren, Misti Atkins, Michelle Atkins, Lindsay Ingle and Abby Hall; and great-grandchildren, Lucy McCance, Nathan Atkins and Waylon Atkins. The family held a private gathering at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
