Lloyd Rabb

SHELBY- Mr. Lloyd Willis Rabb, 91, of 1012 Hardin Drive, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 at Carolina’s Medical Center, Lincolnton. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late William and Bessie Granger Rabb. He work 25 years for Waldensain Bakery and retired from Container Corporation. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his loving wife of 70 years, Elsie Brooks Rabb; 3 brother and 5 sisters.

SURVIVORS: a son, The Rev. David W. Rabb and wife, Linda, of Shelby; a daughter, Patricia Weathers and husband, David, of Monroe; a brother, J. C. Rabb, of Shelby, three grandchildren, Marcus Rabb and wife, Elizabeth, of Boiling Springs, SC, Carla Rabb and fiancé Roger White, of Huntersville, and Brandi Edwards and husband, David, of Shelby; a great grandchild, Abigail Grace Edwards and a number of nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his son David Rabb, 3704 Delta Dr., Shelby.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
