KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mr. Louis Elmer Black, 75, of 128 Farris Rd., went to Heaven, Friday, Nov. 19th, 2010 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Frank and Lillie Mae Henderson Black. Louis was a member of Midview Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Black, and brother, Lawrence Black.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Edith Sims Black, of the home; two sons Louis Steven Black and wife Melanie of Kings Mountain and Chad Black of Rocky Mount; two daughters Cynthia Black Wilson and Stephanie Black, both of Kings Mountain; two sisters, Frances Greene of Shelby, Doris Dabbs and husband Pete and sister in law, Betty Black, all of Kings Mountain; brothers, L.D. Black of Bessemer City, Wayne Black and wife Shirley, G.C. Black and wife Evelyn all of Kings Mountain; 8 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 7 step great grandchildren.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be 2pm Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at Midview Baptist Church, the body will be placed in the church 30 min. prior to the service.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday from3-5pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain, and other time at the home.
