Louis Johnson Sr

On December 1, 2018, Louis Melvin Johnson, devoted father of Debbie Bowers, Louis Jr. (Carrie), Donna, Michael (Sherry), Denise Alexander (Stephen), and Jeffrey Johnson (Cathy) passed away following a brief illness. Louis was the loving grandfather of Bobby Bowers, Anna and Sarah Alexander, Mikhaela Swiger, Marcus, Louis III, Matthew, Nathaniel, Alexis, Madison, Kody, Jeffrey Jr., Jacob, Colton and Ryleigh Johnson; and cherished great-grandfather of Ashlee and Sydnee Bowers, Cole Swiger and Holden and Calleigh Johnson.

Louis served his country stateside in the Air Force for twenty years, during the Vietnam War. Retiring from military life, Louis worked at both the Stereo Discounters and Color Tile warehouses in Jessup. In his spare time, he could pursue his passion of bowling and participated in National Amateur Bowlers, Inc tournaments.

We will miss Louis - the man who never met a stranger.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm December 29th at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Shelby, North Carolina and West River, Maryland. Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery.
