SHELBY- Mrs. Lucille Gaskey Crotts, 93, of 5118 Circle Drive, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cherokee County, SC, daughter of the late George Adam and Mary Etta Gaskey. She retired from J. P. Stevens and was a long-standing member of Bethel Baptist Church in Shelby.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Crotts; five sisters, Mary Dixon, Madge Singleton, May Bell Walker, Laura (Annie) Kendrick, Idell Allen; and four brothers, George M. Gaskey, Willard Gaskey, Robert L. Gaskey, and Birl (Buck) Gaskey; and a son-in-law, Deaver L. Allen.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her three children, Donnis A. Cox and husband, Jim, of Anderson, SC, Pamela C. Patterson and husband, Del, of Shelby, and Arnold H. Crotts and wife, Shirley, of Bostic; five grandchildren, Nicholas Patterson, Wendy Thrift, Cale Crotts, Denise Belk and Charles Allen; one brother, Jack Gaskey, and wife, Patsy; three sisters-in-law, Betty Gaskey, Ann Crotts, and Mary Mayse; one brother-in-law, Thad Crotts and wife, Dee; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two step- grandchildren, Scott Golden and Jason Thompson; and many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Royce Dixon.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby.
FUNERAL SERVICE: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
INTERMENT: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: Drs. Tim Sims and J.M. Ezell will officiate.
