Lucille Tessneer Crowe

April 18, 1924 — June 20, 2017

SHELBY- Lucille Tessneer Crowe, 93, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late David and Effie Beaver Tessneer. She was a 60 year member of Zoar Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading. Even in her state of mind with Alzheimer’s, she still was such a witness for her Lord. She sang hymns and prayed for people at White Oak manor all the time

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Tessneer; and grandson, David Crowe.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Roger Crowe and wife Rachel of Shelby; daughter, Rita Elder and husband Bill Elder Jr. of Summerfield; brother, Clay Tessneer of Morganton; and granddaughter, Courtney Elder Clark of Greensboro.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Friday, at Zoar Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: Dr. Robert Rose and Rev. David Costner will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in the church cemetery

MEMORIALS: Zoar Baptist Church, 1740 S. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC 28152
